About

Growing up in South East London, David Weston has been heavily influenced by the underground electronic music scene since 2011, initially as a passionate raver frequenting iconic venues at 16+ raves such as Under The Radar, Let’s Go Crazy and High Frequency in London ascending to rave clubs such as Cable, Fabric, The Coronet, Electric Brixton, Troxy as well as the legendary squat, and free parties at the time in the early 2010s in the likes of Requiem, Art of Psy, Tesla, Boogie Woogie, Shindig, Unconscious, Eggtek to name a few.

This exposure to all flavours of Techno, Psychedelic Trance, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Gabba, Ambient music, everything in-between, and outside of the spectrum at these multi-genre events was a lightbulb moment. The music that was being played at the disused warehouses, and decaying office blocks in the city, and forest areas within the M-25 as a sign of the troubled minds of our generation set a spark for this upcoming artist.

This early exposure to the vibrant underground club culture and free parties laid the foundation for a deep appreciation of the various genres, which became a cornerstone of their musical journey.

Over the years, David Weston has expanded their musical horizons, embracing the darker, more experimental realms of Techno and the euphoric landscapes of Psychedelic Trance and Psychedelic Electronic Music as a whole. This eclectic taste has allowed them to connect with diverse audiences and create sets that are both energetic and thought-provoking.

As a DJ, David Weston has gained recognition for their dynamic performances on multiple online radio stations such as Rough Tempo, VOID, Widgeon Airways. Events and parties at venues in London and Brighton such as Electric Brixton, Volks and Patterns, and festivals across the UK and Europe, including the legendary Psy-Fi Festival in the Netherlands, with it’s new home in Germany, as well as Boomtown Fair, one of the largest celebrations for electronic dance music culture in the UK.

David Weston has released their debut EP - ‘Fracture’ on Wobbly Records marking a significant milestone in their career as a selector, and DJ into a creator, producer and musical artist. This release has encapsulated their unique sound, reflecting the evolution of their style and the depth of their musical influences. With a growing reputation and a lot of new music on the horizon, David Weston is poised to leave a lasting impact on the electronic music scene, joining the ranks of emerging artists who are redefining the genre boundaries.
